Dar es Salaam – 1 Night

International arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport – Transfer to accommodation Dar es Salaam is located in a beautiful bay off the Indian Ocean and you will enjoy wandering around many colorful markets and visit some of the various historical sites such as St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the White Father’s Mission House, the Botanical Gardens, and the old State House – all easily accessible by foot. If you love fresh fish, a visit to the daily fish market will be a memorable experience.

Selous – 3 Nights

Flight from Dar es Salaam to Selous (40 minutes) Selous is Africa's largest game reserve covering 45,000km² of wilderness, with grassy plains, open woodland, mountains and forests – twice the size of the Serengeti and about three times the size of Kruger National park in South Africa. Selous is a hidden gem and you will enjoy its untouched beauty and a complex network of channels, lakes and swamps that were formed by the Rufiji river. This most outstanding ecological system provides a home for elephants, the famous wild dogs and also some of the last black rhinos. Spend your day on game drives, bush walks, a boat safari or enjoy a beautiful sundowner next to a grunting hippo family. Activities: Shared morning and evening game drives, boat safari or walking safaris

Ruaha – 3 Nights

Flight from Selous to Ruaha (2 hours) Ruaha is Tanzania’s best kept secret and offers a very unique safari experience – your own private adventure. Ruaha is well known for its varied dramatic scenery ranging from rolling hills, large open plains and baobab trees to the Great Ruaha River. As the climate is very hot and dry, animal sightings fairly easy as the wildlife tends to stay close to the water sources. Ruaha has large herds of elephants, vast concentrations of buffalo, gazelle, and over 400 bird species. Activities: Shared morning and evening game drives

Mafia Island – 4 Nights

Flight from Ruaha to Mafia Island (3 hours) Mafia Island is Tanzania’s best spot for marine life! The shallow reefs are perfect for snorkeling or learning to dive. You'll always see something exciting, from rainbow-colored clownfish to octopus, rays and the odd gigantic grouper or large potato cod. Sharks and dolphins are found in the deeper waters, and at night turtles crawl onto remote beaches to nest. Mafia is your perfect tropical island for an undisturbed beach holiday and to enjoy friendly farming and fishing villages. Activities: One daily boat excursion can comprise any one of the following, depending on tides, weather, and availability: Snorkelling (incl. snorkel equipment); Chole Island (excl. $5 village levy and marine park fee of $20pp); Kua Ruins; Marimbani Sandbank; Sunset Cruise

Petit déjeuner et Game drive du matin. Vous reviendrez au lodge pour déjeuner et partager vos impressions. Déjeuner au lodge. Nouveau game drive dans le parc. Vous êtes au 7eme jour de votre voyage et devenez expert pour trouver les animaux. Parmi les animaux présents on notera : les éléphants bien sur, buffles, girafes, guépards, lions, léopards avec toutes les antilopes et plus de 450 espèces d’oiseaux Dîner et nuit en lodge - L / D / BB

Jour 9 : Ruaha / Départ

Petit déjeuner et Dernier game drive. Dernières émotions avant de quitter la belle Tanzanie. Déjeuner. Transfert à l’aérodrome pour un vol pour Dar es Salaam. Fin du séjour
